Beyonce shared a one-minute trailer for Black Is King on her website on Sunday, and it is mind-blowing, as it celebrates black excellence.
The new film is rich in African culture and based on the music from her album, The Lion King: The Gift, and is being released on July 31, 2020 on Disney+. It will include some of the album’s featured artists as well as some special guest appearances.
From the teaser, South African artists that featured in the visual are;
- Singer and actress, Nandi Madida.
- Black Panther actress and South African stalwart, Connie Chiume.
- Award-winning actor, Warren Masemola.
- South African actor, Nyanis Dzedze
